Clinical Psychologist
Abdul Raouf

Education:

  • Master of Clinical Psychology from the Integrated Psychology Program under Science University Malaysia and Sultan Idris Education University.
  • Bachelor of Psychology from HELP University Malaysia

Raouf is a clinical psychologist with over 5 years of experience working with a wide range of clients, including children, teenagers, adults, and couples. Throughout his practice, he has supported individuals facing a variety of emotional and psychological challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, relationship issues, and self-esteem difficulties—
while also adapting his approach to suit different age groups and life stages.

Raouf’s therapeutic work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). He believes that therapy should be flexible and collaborative, adjusting evidence-based techniques to suit each client’s unique struggles and goals. He works alongside his clients to explore what approaches and
strategies best support their personal growth and emotional well-being.

Having worked with people from different walks of life, including marginalized and underserved communities. Raouf values building genuine therapeutic relationships that foster trust, safety, and meaningful change.

There is a delay of 7 years between the first onset of symptoms of mental illness, and seeking support from a health-care professional. This delay is largely attributed to a lack of awareness and the stigma that revolves around the illness. Therefore, Raouf’s goal, is to help carve a society, that is inclusive, progressive, rejects discrimination and supports recovery. This can
eventually promote the understanding that seeking mental health support, is no different than visiting a doctor for any physical health problems.
